HOW DO I SAUNA?
Inspired by long grey days and a longing to be outside during the winter, we committed to bringing the ritual of sauna to our neighborhood. Three custom built saunas; an old cattle trailer, a converted horse trailer and a traditional barrel sauna are situated in the heavily wooded swath of land that was once the Iron Belle Railroad.
Come heat and cold-plunge with us, find respite in the home-base tent or hang out around the campfire.
A few things to know:
Home Base Tent provides a warm-ish place for changing and socializing, with non-secure storage for your clothes and cell-phone. Wear clothes that are easy to change in and out of.
Portable Restroom on-site
Leave your valuables (and any worries about what you look like in a bathing suit) at home. Don’t wear jewelry in the sauna: it gets HOT!
No naked sauna-ing. You have to wear something inside the sauna.
Things to bring:
A robe or towel to wrap yourself in
A bathing suit or something equivalent
A towel to sit on
Slides or flip flops
A water bottle
A sauna hat, if you have one
